Display
in Style: Unique Exhibit Designs
Whether you will be participating in an industry tradeshow, a
professional career fair, or a local sales event, you’ll want to put
your best foot forward with your exhibition displays. With many styles
and types of exhibit available, you’ll never have to settle for a
one-size-fits all display. Instead, you can customize the way in which
you market your organization while selecting an option that satisfies
your unique needs.
One of the first decisions you’ll need to make when selecting your
exhibition displays is size. An ultra-portable option is to have a
table-top display that folds or rolls down into a small base that will
make traveling with it a cinch. If you anticipate taking your
exhibition displays on the road or in the air, this can be an
attractive option, as it is lightweight and easy to carry.
When size is not of concern to you, consider free-standing exhibition
displays. Heavier and bulkier, these displays also show more
prominently. While they can break down or roll up in similar ways to
table top designs, it is far more practical to use these types of
displays only while at local events, or when you have the ability to
ship your supplies ahead to a remote facility.
If you are seeking a more permanent type of exhibition display, you can
find models that rely on structural systems that resemble
mini-scaffolding. Often utilized in three-panel displays, these
systems are by far the bulkiest and least portable. They are, however,
very substantial and can best display your graphical designs. With
these models, be prepared to engage shipping and drayage companies for
delivery and set-up; if you plan to set-up yourself, allow plenty of
time. These are a very practical option when you will have a larger
amount of dedicated space and will be displaying for a longer amount of
time.
Another design aspect to consider when selecting your exhibition
displays is whether you want flat or curved panels. This is often a
matter of personal preference. Consider the space you will be filling
most commonly with your displays. Also consider how many panels, in
total, you will have. This will enable you to visualize whether flat
or curved panels will best show the story your organization seeks to
tell.
Finally, remember that any exhibition displays you select are not only
dependant upon structural style and type to lead to success for your
organization, but also for how they are designed. Remember to not
overwhelm your intended audience with too much information in too
little space. Instead, choose key images and phrases that will sell
your organization’s services, products and possibilities on your
behalf.
